Return and Refund Policy

At My Projectors, we want you to shop with confidence. Please read our return and refund conditions carefully before making a purchase.

Faulty Items and Consumer Guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If you believe your item has developed a fault, please contact our team to initiate a warranty claim.

  • The Assessment Process: To determine the appropriate remedy, all faulty returns must first be assessed by our technicians or the manufacturer.
  • Minor Faults: If the assessment confirms the product has a minor fault, we will arrange to have the item repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
  • Major Faults: If the assessment confirms a major failure, you are entitled to choose a replacement or a full refund.

Please note: We reserve the right to deny a refund or replacement if the assessment shows the item is non-faulty, or if the fault was caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or failure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines.

Order Cancellations

We understand that sometimes plans change. If you request to cancel a "change of mind" order before it has been dispatched from our warehouse, a 3% administrative and processing fee will be deducted from your refund. This fee covers the non-refundable payment gateway charges and administrative costs incurred when processing your initial transaction.

Please note: If we are unable to fulfill your order due to stock unavailability or severe dispatch delays on our end, this fee will be waived, and you will receive a 100% full refund.

Once an item has been dispatched, our standard 14-day return conditions below will apply.

Change of Mind & Unopened Items (14-Day Return Window)

If you change your mind or make an incorrect choice, you may request a return within 14 days of delivery. For brand-new, factory-sealed items (excluding open-box projector screens), you have two options:

  • Store Credit: Receive 100% store credit to use on another item (minus return shipping costs).
  • Refund: Receive a refund to your original payment method, less a 10% restocking fee and return shipping costs.

Please note: Items must remain completely unopened, in original packaging, and in pristine condition. We reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet these conditions.

Projector Screens

Due to the fragile nature, size, and heavy handling requirements of projector screens, strict conditions apply:

  • Unopened boxes: Subject to the standard 14-day return policy above.
  • Opened boxes / Broken seals: If the packaging has been opened, a 30% restocking fee will apply. Once unpacked, screens are highly susceptible to transit damage and cannot be resold as new.

Projector Compatibility and Usage

Projectors vary significantly in throw distance, room requirements, and system compatibility. We strongly recommend confirming suitability before purchase. If you are unsure, please contact our team - we are happy to assist!

Once a projector box has been opened and the unit powered on (even for less than 5 lamp hours), it can no longer be sold as new. In these instances, a restocking fee of up to 30% may apply, assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the condition of the unit, packaging, and accessories.

Non-Faulty Warranty Returns

If a product is returned under a warranty claim but is thoroughly tested and found to be non-faulty, an inspection and processing fee of $85 will be charged to cover our technicians' time. Return shipping costs for non-faulty items will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Product Descriptions and Images

We strive to ensure all product descriptions and images are as accurate as possible. If a product you receive is not as described or fails to meet consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.
