Overview

The Optoma OMA-S is an ultra-portable RGB triple laser projector designed for home entertainment, outdoor use, travel, camping, and professional presentations. Weighing just 1kg, it combines a compact design with Full HD 1080p resolution, 1500 lumens brightness, and wide colour performance.

Its RGB triple laser light source delivers vivid colour, strong brightness, and up to 30,000 hours of use. The OMA-S also includes automatic setup features such as auto focus, auto keystone, and four-corner correction to make positioning and alignment easier.

USB-C power input allows the projector to run from a compatible PD 3.0 portable power bank, making it suitable for outdoor movies, camping, holidays, and portable use.

RGB Laser Colour

The OMA-S uses RGB triple laser technology with red, green, and blue lasers to produce vivid colours and cinematic visuals. It reaches 105% of the BT.2020 colour space, making it suitable for movies, gaming, and animated content.

Lights-on Viewing

High brightness and vivid colour help the OMA-S produce vibrant images in lit rooms, provided there is no direct sunlight or strong light shining directly onto the screen.

Full HD 1080p

Full HD 1080p resolution delivers sharp and detailed images from compatible content without downscaling or compression. The projector also supports 4K input sources.

Auto Focus and Keystone Correction

Automatic laser focusing and auto H/V keystone correction help create a clear, properly aligned image in seconds. Four-corner correction also allows each corner of the image to be adjusted individually when the projector is placed at an angle or used on uneven walls.

Note: Auto focus and auto H/V keystone work best from 60" to 100".

Short Throw Projection

With its 0.78:1 short throw lens, the OMA-S can project a large image from a shorter distance. For example, it can project a 100" image from approximately 1.7 m away.

HDR and HLG Compatible

The OMA-S can receive and display HDR10 and HLG content, helping improve detail, texture, depth, and contrast in compatible video sources.

AI Picture Quality Mode

AI Picture Quality mode uses integrated AI processing to recognise faces and scenes in real time, adjusting colour, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and dynamic range for a better viewing experience.

Gaming and PureMotion

Auto Low Latency Mode helps provide a more responsive gaming experience by optimising settings for lower latency. PureMotion frame interpolation helps reduce motion blur and judder in fast-moving scenes.

Apps, Casting and Display Share

The built-in Marketplace app store gives access to apps such as YouTube and Spotify. The projector also supports Apple iOS wireless display and Google Chromecast for easy casting from phones and tablets.

Note: Optoma projectors run on a customised version of Android. Google Play Services are not supported, and third-party app compatibility may vary.

Display Share allows wireless mirroring from Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Chrome devices. It can also be used for photo sharing, document sharing, camera sharing, and smart control.

Wireless Connectivity

Dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth help reduce cable clutter. You can stream content, mirror your screen, connect to Bluetooth speakers or headphones, or use the projector as a Bluetooth speaker.

Power Bank Compatible

The OMA-S can be powered by a compatible portable power bank, allowing you to enjoy videos on the go.

Note: A power bank with a minimum output of 65W or higher is required.

360° Projection and Portrait Mode

The OMA-S supports flexible installation with 360° projection and portrait mode, making it suitable for creative installations, signage, and unusual projection angles.

Safety and Durability

Built-in PIR sensors can detect when someone approaches the laser light source and automatically reduce brightness to help protect the eyes. The projector also features an IP5X dust-resistant optical engine for improved durability.

The OMA-S is designed with sustainability in mind. It uses RGB triple laser technology for long-lasting brightness, reduces power consumption compared with lamp projectors, uses 50% PCR material, and features packaging that is up to 99% recyclable.
